On Saturday, Tamang Doctor’s Society Nepal celebrated the 2860th year of the Manjushree calendar; the year of the Dog, with exchange of Sonam Lhochhar greetings. The society also held its third annual general meeting, congratulated medical students who had just entered this field and also, honored doctors who were successful in MD/MS exam.The grand event took place at Chhyorten Tashi Tamang Monastery in Nayabasti, Boudha.
Dr. Nirajan Tamang, president of the Tamang Doctor’s Society Nepal presided over the program. The chief guest was Dr. Ganesh Lama, the founding advisor of the society. Other distinguished guests included Mr. Hari Bahadur Bal, president of Chhyorten Tashi Tamang Monastery; Dr, Jiban Tamang; Dr. Rajan Ghising; Mr. Ajay Tamang, legal advisor of the society; Mr. Suresh Lama, president of Chhyorten Tashi Tamang Monastery Youth Council; Mr. Bipin Lama, the secretary and a young entrepreneur; Mr. Saroj Tamang, an IT engineer; Ms. Sabina Tamang and Mr, Sanjay Tamang, civil engineers; Mr.Bipin Ghising, a sub-captain; Mr. Dipen Lama, Mr. Bishka Lama, Mr. Mohan Lama and Mr. Uday Lama. The event was also graced by the presence of board members, general members, doctors, medical students, nursing staff and paramedics of the society.
The event included a comprehensive review on the organization’s annual financial activities, ongoing projects and future goals. The president also expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who graced the occasion with their presence, contributing to the success of the program. He also expressed special thanks to Dr. Anita Lama, advisor of the society for her generous financial support towards the event.
Additionally, The President announced that the Membership Expansion Campaign which was initiated the previous year is also actively ongoing till date.
