A highly successful Health Camp for women, children and senior citizens was organized at the premises of Shree Mahendra Ratna Jagatnath Laxmimaya Secondary School in Barahathawa Municipality, Ward No. 10, Sarlahi. The event was a collaborative effort by Tamang Medical Society Nepal, Kanchi Maya Foundation, Bodhisattva Bihar, Shanti Dil Foundation Australia, and Apanga Sarokar Kendra Barhathwa.
During the health camp, a total of 1,007 individuals received medical check-ups and necessary treatments. The specific medical cases handled included: 490 Gynecological Cases: Six women were identified with uterine prolapse, for whom free treatment was arranged. 110 Ophthalmology Cases: Patients received specialized ophthalmology consultations and treatments. 200 Pediatric Cases: A child was issued a disability identity card as part of the camp’s inclusivity efforts. 207 General Health Cases: Attendees with common health concerns were examined and treated by healthcare professionals.
In addition to healthcare services, the program included the distribution of essential items to the underprivileged. 800 school bags were provided to children. 500 mosquito nets were distributed to unprivileged families. 100 blankets were given to individuals in need.
The dedicated efforts of the Mayor of Barahathawa Municipality, Chief Administrative Officer, Chairperson of Ward No. 10, Police Administration, Journalist, Various Organisations, Volunteers and Local residents contributed to the successful execution of this welfare initiative.
