The Tamang Doctor’s Society Nepal held its annual general meeting for the fiscal year 2078/2079 this Saturday at Bajrabal Cafe, Boudha. The event, chaired by Dr. Nirajan Tamang, president of the organization, saw a strong turnout of medical professionals from across the region. Dr. Nitu Lama graced the occasion as the chief guest, with Dr. Suresh Tamang as the special guest. Other notable attendees included Dr. Chandra Shekhar Lama, Ms. Nisha Ghising, Advocate Mr. Ajay Tamang, Mr. Bidhan Tamang, Mr. Bikash Tamang, Mr. Khem Moktan as well as board members, general members, medical students from various medical colleges and nursing staff.
The event served as a platform to review the society’s accomplishments over the past year and to outline strategic directions for the future. However, discussions centered around the organization’s annual financial report and a comprehensive overview of the programs implemented during the year.
A particularly impressive moment was the recognition of Dr. Sandeep Pakhrin, Advisor of the society and Managing Director of Shanti Dil Foundation for his generous financial support. His support was instrumental in the success of many key programs of the organization. The society expressed its heartfelt gratitude for his commitment to improving healthcare access in various parts of the country.
The launch of a membership expansion campaign was also announced, inviting more medical professionals to join the society and contribute to its mission. The president extended his sincere thanks to all who attended and contributed to the success of the AGM reaffirming its commitment to serving healthcare needs and looking forward to another year of impactful work.
