Collaborative effort led by Tamang Doctor Society Nepal combat COVID-19 in Roshi Rural Municipality

Tamang Doctor Society Nepal in collaboration with Nepal Tamang Ghedung, Bodhisattva Bihar, Roshi Rural Municipality, and Kharpachok Youth Club led a vital health campaign in the Roshi Municipality . This initiative focused on providing COVID-19 antigen testing, health consultation for those in home isolation and distribution of essential medical supplies to combat the pandemic in rural areas.

The campaign took place across two key locations in the Roshi Rural Municipality: Kharpachok Village, Ward No. 8 Antigen testing was conducted on 63 individuals, with three positive cases identified. Kridas Village, Ward No. 8 Antigen testing was conducted on 35 individuals, all yielding negative results.

To strengthen the community’s resilience against COVID-19, the team also provided essential medical supplies. Items distributed included: 100 sanitizers (50ml each), 20 face shields, and 12 boxes of surgical masks. 2 pulse oximeters, 2 thermometers, and 2 boxes of gloves. Medicines like multivitamins, Vitamin C, ORS, Pantoprazole, Paracetamol, and Aceclofenac.

Additionally, Informative sessions were conducted to educate the community about COVID-19 prevention, symptoms, and the importance of vaccination.

The campaign owes its success to the dedicated efforts of participating doctors, including Dr. Dil B. Thokar, Dr. Dipen Lama, Dr. Sanjit Tamang, Dr. Nirajan Tamang, Dr. Priyanka Dhakal, and Ms. Sanjita Raut. The Tamang Doctor Society Nepal also thanks Nepal Tamang Ghedung, Bodhisattva Bihar, Roshi Rural Municipality, and Kharpachok Youth Club for their collaborative support.
