Tamang Doctor's Society Nepal Conducts Fourth Health Outreach in Flood-Affected Kispang, Nuwakot

Date: 2026-10-10

Tamang Doctors’ Society Nepal (TDS Nepal), in collaboration with Jaya Buddha Youth Club, conducted a free health camp in Kispang Rural Municipality–5, Nuwakot, reaching 260 people from communities affected by the devastating Bhotekoshi floods and landslides. The outreach marked TDS Nepal’s fourth visit to communities affected by the disaster. The initiative aimed to improve access to essential healthcare for affected families while providing humanitarian assistance to those facing hardship. Alongside medical consultations and healthcare services, essential relief materials were distributed to affected households. The relief distribution initiative led by Jaya Buddha Youth Club remains ongoing.

TDS Nepal extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Surya Moktan, who returned to Nepal from the United States and dedicated his time, energy, and efforts to serving his community during this difficult period. His commitment to returning home and standing alongside those in need reflects the true spirit of community service and humanitarian solidarity. TDS Nepal also expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Jaya Buddha Youth Club, the organising team members Manoj Tamang and Manish Gurung of Nawa Himalayan Coffee, and all individuals and organisations who contributed to making the campaign successful. Special appreciation goes to Mountain Heart Nepal, represented by Dr. Abhan Gautam; Global Family Team, represented by Madan Pyakurel; Dr. Anika Holländer (Germany); Kabita Yonjan (Pokhara); Anupa Gautam; Bir Dhoj Tamang; Dr. Pradeep Chapagain; Namrata Khadka; and Doma Sherpa, along with every supporter and volunteer who contributed to this humanitarian effort.

TDS Nepal also acknowledges the dedication of its entire team, whose time, professional skills, energy, and compassion continue to support communities in need. Special thanks go to the team's driver, affectionately known as Guruji, for safely navigating the challenging terrain and ensuring the team's safe return.

Beyond the healthcare services and relief materials, the visit was a meaningful experience of solidarity, compassion, and human connection. The mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and families of Kispang welcomed the team with extraordinary warmth, affection, hospitality, and blessings. The team arrived with healthcare and relief assistance but returned with something equally precious: love, lasting relationships, heartfelt blessings, and unforgettable memories.

TDS Nepal remains committed to reaching underserved communities and supporting vulnerable populations through accessible healthcare, humanitarian assistance, and community-centred initiatives.
