MS General surgery (resident)
Working at BPKIHS, DHARAN
"I am from Dolakha, Nepal, and currently pursuing a Master’s in General Surgery at B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan. After earning my MBBS from Nobel Medical College, I have been actively engaged in both clinical practice and community service. As a member of the Tamang community—one of Nepal’s largest indigenous groups—I have witnessed firsthand the systemic challenges our people face in education, healthcare, and representation in administrative sectors. Recognizing the urgent need for change, my colleagues and I co-founded the Tamang Doctors Society Nepal, a platform dedicated to advancing our community through healthcare services, education, and career mentorship. Under our leadership, the society has conducted free health camps in remote Tamang settlements, provided career counseling to aspiring medical professionals, and delivered medical aid during natural disasters across Nepal. With a vision of fostering a healthier and more empowered Tamang community, we remain committed to expanding these initiatives, bridging gaps in healthcare accessibility and educational opportunities. Our ultimate mission is to create lasting, meaningful contributions to both the well-being of our community and Nepal’s broader healthcare system. "
