"The Tamang Doctors Society Nepal is a community organization dedicated to provide health and social services to those in need within rural communities, as well as educational support and financial assistance for children from low socioeconomic backgrounds. I am a pediatric trainee at CHKD, affiliated with Old Dominion University, and I have over five years of experience as a medical officer after completing my training at Fatima Jinnah Medical University in Pakistan. My experience includes managing outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services, along with promoting immunization campaigns for Typhoid and COVID-19 vaccinations in Nepal, Pakistan and USA. I have contributed to reducing neonatal and childhood mortality rates by training healthcare workers and participating in various free health camps organized by the Tamang Doctors Society Nepal (TDSN). I am passionate about providing culturally sensitive care and aspire to become a general pediatrician with a focus on preventive medicine and community advocacy. As a board member of TDS, I actively advocate for the health rights of marginalized communities and work towards reducing healthcare disparities through collaborative efforts such as vaccination drives, health camps, and health education initiatives. I encourage everyone to engage in health advocacy by volunteering and donating blood. Together, we can build stronger and healthier communities."
